We called AJ Locksmith at around eight in the evening to help us unlock our office door. We’d purposefully left the keys inside to test out this locksmith service and see if they were worth the hype. 

After three minutes on hold, a customer support agent was finally available to help us book an appointment. They asked for the standard information e.g., address, name of the client, contact number, supposed lock issue, etc.

It took the agent around 15 minutes to give us a quote and finalize our booking. 

Once that whole bit was done, they promised a technician would be over in 20 minutes. Fast forward 30 minutes later, the technician arrives and tells us that he went to the wrong address. 

This type of mistake would be incredibly inconvenient for some clients, especially in emergencies. However, we let it slide, since our case wasn’t that urgent.

It took the technician less than 15 minutes to fix our problem, which was a relief. It almost made us forget about his tardiness. 

We were also glad to see that their quoted price didn’t stray too far from what the technician charged us. 

We mention that because during our surveys, many of our participants complained about the disparities between the quotes and the actual prices. Naturally, we were feeling a little anxious because of previous client comments. 

After the technician left, we checked our lock and were happy to see that it didn’t have any damages that could affect its efficiency. 

All that said, we have no reservations in saying that AJ Locksmith is a reliable service provider. Just keep an eye out for technicians that charge you more than what you bargained for. 

Imagine getting locked out of your home on a Sunday but you can’t call your typical locksmith because they’re closed. 

Fortunately, with SOS Locksmith, you never have to worry about not getting services on a weekend. 

This company offers 24/7 assistance – a great relief for hundreds of Dallas residents who frequently forget their home keys. 

To test their services, we called SOS Locksmith to help us with our car at four in the morning. Luckily, a customer support agent was able to take our call immediately. 

Our appointment was booked within 10 minutes and we were promised that a technician would be over to assist us in 20 minutes. 

During the call, we tried asking for a quote for services but for some reason, the man on the other end sounded skeptical to give us one. Finally, he relented and gave us an estimate for how much we’d have to pay. 

While their prices seemed reasonable enough, we were bothered by the skepticism the agent displayed while sharing details about their pricing. 

It made us feel like they were trying to keep the prices off our minds until the last minute so they could ask for a higher fee. 

The technician arrived in exactly 20 minutes and swiftly went to work after asking us what happened. We told him we’d left our keys inside the car and we didn’t have the spare on us. 

It took him around 20 minutes to get everything done – not the longest we’ve had to wait.

We’re just glad that he didn’t leave any damage on our car. 

He charged us a fee that was slightly higher than what we anticipated. The technician said it was because the car’s locking mechanism was a lot more complicated than he had thought. 

After we paid him the amount, he was off and we were free to use our car once again. 

Overall, it was an OK experience. Although, there are places that charge much cheaper than SOS Locksmith, so you may want to take note of that if you’re on a budget. 

Although 911 Locksmith’s services are available Monday through Sunday, we found it disappointing to know that their operating hours were very limited. 

Compared to the other providers that offer 24/7 or 24-hour assistance, 911 Locksmith only operates within the hours of 7:00 am to 9:00 pm on weekdays and 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekends.

In case you experience emergencies in the dead of the night, the company will charge you extra on top of the service fees. This can easily raise the costs of their services, so you end up paying more. 

On the bright side, we like how quickly their customer support agents connected us to a technician. In under five minutes, we already had someone to assist us with our office door. 

Compared to other technicians, it took him a while to finish unlocking the door. It looked like he was unfamiliar with the system that we were using but didn’t want to admit that he was. 

In the end, he did manage to fix the issue without causing any damage to our equipment – so, all was well.

We were a little surprised by how much he charged us at first. It didn’t feel right for him to ask us to pay more because he wasn’t familiar with our lock. 

After a little back and forth, he did agree to lower the price to what they normally charge clients. That was actually a pleasant surprise, as we weren’t entirely sure that he’d agree.

A piece of advice for anyone planning to get 911 Locksmith’s services: Don’t be afraid to haggle.

Another great thing about locksmiths is that they can recreate keys for all types of doors and locks. 

That’s exactly what we wanted to test out at Best Locksmith. 

We heard from a lot of our survey participants that they had the fastest key replacement service in the city. And it just so happened that we “lost” our keys to our car and we needed a replacement ASAP. 

Contacting Best Locksmith was fairly easy. They answered within the first few rings and took our information in less than five minutes. 

Since we technically didn’t have any keys for them to copy, they had us provide our car’s make and model number, so their locksmiths could look into it. 

A technician was dispatched to our location immediately after our call. He was there within 20 minutes (5 minutes longer than their estimated time, but that’s fine) and had our replacement key for us to use. 

We were impressed at the speed and efficiency of their work. And even more surprised about their prices. 

They charged us 25% less than what they initially estimated on the phone. This was great news to us since we didn’t want to spend so much on a set of keys.

The only real issue we have with them is that they don’t offer 24-hour services like most providers. What would you do if you lost your keys at midnight? 

That aside, Best Locksmith indeed lives up to its name and we highly recommend its services to anyone reading this.

Bilco Lock & Safe has services for residential and commercial properties, as well as automobiles. They claim to have highly competitive rates out of all the other providers. 

However, we’ve received comments that say otherwise. 

One of our survey participants, an old customer of Bilco Lock & Safe, said that the company charged him $20 just to open a small safety deposit box. After that transaction, he immediately transferred to a different locksmith from then on.

And we could understand why. 

If a safety deposit box costs that much to fix, we were afraid of how much an office door would cost. 

Still, we called Bilco’s office to book an appointment. It took around 10 minutes for anyone to answer our call. 

The person on the other line was professional and respectful enough. They even apologized for making us wait so long, which was a little consoling. 

We took the high volume of callers as a sign that many people preferred their services over others. 

We asked for a quote for their services, which they gave us without any hesitation. This made us feel better about their reliability as a service provider. 

The technician they sent over seemed to be in a bad mood. He didn’t talk much with us and his answers sounded a little clipped for comfort. 

On the bright side, he did a good job with our lock. He had it fixed in under five minutes – a great relief. 

He charged us the exact amount given to us on our initial call. It was still slightly more expensive than most providers; however, we do appreciate the swiftness the technician showed at work.
