All American Pet Resort is a locally owned spot that has been offering quality daycare and boarding services for over 18 years.

Instead of cages or kennels, AAPR offers luxury, cage-free suites. These have raised beds in climate-controlled rooms (fancy!), top-notch air purification and exchange HVAC systems, and 24-hour staff on hand.

They can even board several pets in a single suite—great for families with multiple pets—and at a discounted rate, no less.

As for playtime, they offer spacious outdoor and indoor areas with durable, easy-to-clean flooring. Your pups will have plenty of space to run, explore, and socialize.

A major plus for me is their 24/7 webcam access, so you can check on your pup during group play from anywhere in the world.

While most pets rave about their services, we heard reports of dogs catching minor ailments. To be fair, this is not uncommon in daycare environments.

Smart Dog Dallas is conveniently located between downtown Dallas and Historic Oak Cliff. This owner-operated facility focuses on giving dogs a happy and safe space they’ll actually enjoy going to every day.

Here, they offer structured playgroups. Dogs are grouped based on size and temperament, allowing them to socialize, exercise, and learn in a controlled setting.

We also like their various daycare and boarding packages. You can choose between half and full-day, and there are discounts for multiple pups from the same household.

A unique perk is their pickup and delivery chauffeur service for both daycare and boarding clients. This concierge-style offering means you don’t even have to be home to collect or drop off your pup.

As a bonus, grooming services are offered too.

Sadly, we heard concerns about smaller dogs being attacked by larger dogs due to mixed-size playgroups.

Camp Bow Wow was founded by Heidi Ganahl in 2000 after struggling to find quality care for her dogs. Since then, the brand has grown to over 200 locations.

They offer spacious play areas where dogs can run, play, and socialize while being supervised by their certified camp counselors. Meaning, they’re trained in canine first aid and CPR, and they also conduct health checks upon arrival. 

For overnight stays, they offer a cozy boarding environment, which includes all-day play and a special campfire treat at night. We love that they don’t charge extra for medication administration and special requests.

Customized grooming packages are available, too (e.g. baths, blowouts, ear cleaning, nail trim, etc.).

As a bonus, you can watch your pets anytime via their live webcam.

Unfortunately, we heard about dogs getting sick. If your dog has a sensitive immune system, you might want to go elsewhere.

Dog City’s goal is to treat every dog like family and welcome each one with open arms.

Well, what a warm welcome they offer. Everyone gets a free introductory day to let their dog get familiar with the staff and surroundings.

As for play, they offer structured playgroups—dogs can wrestle, chase, and romp around, all while developing social skills. For safety, large and small dogs are kept in separate areas.

Plus, you can check on your pup anytime via their cams, which are accessible in their online customer portal. You can also call, email, or text to get an update from the staff.

For boarding, dogs get their own space with fresh water and room service, and the facility has fire and security alarms.

As an added treat, you can book their grooming services during daycare or boarding. 

Just a heads up—we heard about their receptionist being rude and unhelpful.

We absolutely LOVE DogCity

Dog City is a great place to take your pet

Paw Lofts was founded by Michael, a lifelong dog lover who grew up on a farm in Ireland. He also received an animal husbandry award, so you know your precious pup is in good hands.

His facility offers six spacious indoor and outdoor play areas, featuring artificial turf, rubber flooring, and A/C. And they even have designated quiet areas for pups who need a little downtime.

For overnight stays, they offer themed luxury suites that have raised beds, TVs, and glass doors—definitely a step up from traditional boarding.

And if your pets need grooming, simply book a service with one of their Reservation Specialists. They have a lot of choices, from a simple bath to a full luxury spa session, and various individual options (e,g, nail trimming, teeth brushing, etc.).

Note that dog training is offered here as well.

One downside we heard about—some dogs came home with infections.

Only place that I trust to take care of our dog

“Paw Lofts is always so great to our dog and they genuinely care! This is the only place that I trust to take care of our dog while we’re out of town. The facility is very clean and the staff is knowledgeable, super sweet and so caring to our baby. Our baby had a swollen paw and they rushed him to the vet. His paws were swollen prior to boarding him but one of them doubled in size. He ended up having a little infection and had to have a procedure at a vet that they took him to. They were very attentive, and I’m so glad they were there when we couldn’t be. Laury texted us personally and sent photos and kept us up to date throughout the day, which made us feel so much better.
